Tariff Policy
The tariff policy of Astyk Trans JSC is a system of certain uniform principles, rules and methods used by the Company in organizing transportation of grain, similar products and other bulk cargo by rail. The main objective of the Company’s tariff policy is to balance the Company’s and customers’ interests.
Principles
The Company’s tariff policy is implemented on a non-discriminatory basis for all customers and is based on the following principles:
- «The principle of balancing interests» — when forming the tariff rates to ensure balance of the Company’s interests as an effective commercial organization obliged to conduct profitable activities in general. The Company reserves the right, in the event of a significant change in the price or market situation in transportation market, without violating contractual obligations, to unilaterally introduce temporary changes to rates for services and conditions for their provision.
- «The principle of information accessibility» — ensuring equal and complete informational support for the price (tariff) policy, ease of access to the materials of the tariff policy for all customers, investors and regulatory bodies.
- «The principle of predictability (constancy)» — rates are set for a certain period (regulation period) in order to reduce the investment risk, increase economic certainty (stability) for the Company\'s customers. Change in rates for previously agreed period - is allowed only in the event of significant circumstances that impede implementation of the "Principle of the balance of interests".
- «The principle of simplicity (transparency) in calculating the rate» — forming rates for the Company’s services occurs according to strictly defined criteria that are understandable to customers, investors and regulatory authorities. The methodology for calculating the rates is open to all customers, investors and regulatory authorities. The final rate and the method of its obtaining are certainly understandable for all consumer groups.
