JSC "Astyk Trans" starts complex transportation of grain cargo to China

Joint-stock company «Astyk Trans» together with JSC " NC «Kazakhstan Temir Zholy» developed a scheme for the transportation of grain cargo to the depths of China as part of container trains that will pass through checkpoints at border stations with the PRC without hindrance, which will expand the geography of exports and increase cargo turnover and trade turnover between the two countries.
The complex scheme involves shipping Kazakh grain in 19 grain carriers from the railway station of Kostanay to the Altynkol station, where the cargo, in compliance with all sanitary standards, will be transshipped into containers and sent to Xi’an (China).
The implementation of this project will expand the geography of exports and significantly reduce the delivery time of grain cargo. One of the important points in the company’s strategy is the optimization of existing logistics routes and the development of integrated grain cargo transportation together with partners. The developed transportation scheme will significantly reduce the load on system operators, will allow to meet the needs of the agricultural industry in a timely manner and minimizes delays in the delivery of goods regardless of the seasonality of grain transportation. Moreover, the transportation of agricultural goods will allow participants of the grain market of Kazakhstan to increase the geography of shipments and expand the list of bases for cargo delivery.
