The delivery became possible due to the agreements reached between the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, which made it possible to lift restrictions on the transit of goods in the direction of Yerevan. The resumption of railway communication was announced on October 21, 2025 at the meeting of the heads of state in Astana, and the first shipment of grain to Armenia took place on October 29 this year.
The pilot batch of food grains has become a symbol of the peace agreements between Azerbaijan and Armenia and an important step in the development of Kazakhstan's export and logistics capabilities.
Astyk Trans JSC, having the largest fleet of specialized grain carriers and experience in international transportation, acted as the key operator of this project, ensuring timely and safe cargo delivery.
The opening of a new transit route through Transcaucasia strengthens trade and economic ties between the countries of the region and expands the export geography of Kazakhstani grain.
