Astyk Trans JSC is entering the harvest season with a renewed fleet and pre-arranged measures for the organization of transportation.
Based on the results of the 2024–2025 season, record volumes of grain transportation were achieved in Kazakhstan:
• export increased by 49%,
• domestic transportation — by 20%,
• total growth — 39%, which became the best indicator in recent years.
Over the past two years, the Kazakhstani fleet has increased by 30%, while across the Commonwealth of Independent States as a whole it grew by 16% (including 52% in the Russian Federation). This growth occurred against the backdrop of a decline in the harvest in the Russian Federation, which led to an oversupply of Russian grain carriers and their redistribution to Kazakhstan.
Despite intensified competition and reduced profitability, the Company has:
• maintained the volume of leased rolling stock — 2,700 wagons,
• planned to attract grain hoppers from the Commonwealth of Independent States in the amount of 1,000–1,500 wagons,
• owned a proprietary fleet of 3,400 wagons.
For stable domestic transportation at reduced tariffs, Astyk Trans JSC has concluded more than 40 memoranda with domestic grain processing enterprises, providing for over 3,200 wagons.
In the new season, within the framework of cooperation with Food Contract Corporation JSC, the Company will continue transporting Kazakhstani wheat to Algeria.
We draw the attention of our clients: in order to ensure the prompt and high-quality organization of transportation, we kindly request the submission of applications for the provision of grain hoppers in advance. Timely planning will make it possible to optimally distribute the fleet and ensure the delivery of wagons during peak demand periods.
