What is the situation with the park before the start of the new season?

On the eve of the new season, many are interested in the readiness of the park for grain transportation. It is no secret that the logistics of Kazakhstan is affected by the situation on world markets, as well as by the nearest neighbors.
Thus, a record grain harvest of about 130 million tons is confirmed in the Russian Federation, which will affect the employment of the CIS fleet for the transportation of Russian grain. The situation in this market is such that the turnover of wagons in Russia is constantly growing, traffic is slowing down, which leads to the need to attract more wagons. In addition, the increase in the cost of maintaining the park leads to an increase in the rates for use. To date, taking into account these factors, the rates for the use of grain wagons in the Russian Federation amount to about 8 thousand Russian rubles per day, which is 1.5-2 times more than in Kazakhstan for export transportation.
For the Kazakh market, where the rates are lower than in the Russian Federation, this will lead to a reduction in the supply of the CIS fleet, as well as significant risks of outflow of the Kazakh private fleet for the transportation of Russian grain.
"Astyk Trans" JSC has prepared 3435 own grain hoppers for the new season. In addition, the Company rents and attracts an additional 2,100 grain carriers. And during the season of transportation of the new crop, our company plans to attract 600 additional cars of the CIS fleet for transportation in Kazakhstan and purchase 100-200 new grain carriers.
The entire fleet of "Astyk Trans" JSC will be involved in the transportation of Kazakh grain only.
