Launching an organized train with wheat

Astyk Trans JSC hereby informs you that the first organized train with wheat harvested in Kazakhstan in 2019 was sent on October 16, 2019 from the Akmola branch of Kazakhstan Railways to Turkmenistan. The coordinated actions of the railway workers as well as Tukmenistan Railways’s support allowed to start the project for dispatching Kazakhstan wheat within organized trains. Let us remind that in order to increase the loading resources and infrastructure capacity of railways involved as well as the speed of cargo delivery and freight turnover of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Railways together with the system operator of grain transportation in Kazakhstan - Astyk Trans JSC, an unprecedented, ambitious project for maximizing routing of grain cargo transportation was planned for 2019. So, together with Kazakhstan Railways, about 15 shipping routes and 50 stepped grain routes in all forms of wagons were sent since September 2019. “This measure will undoubtedly allow for reducing wagon turnover and increasing throughput capacity of Kazakhstan railways”, said the President of Astyk Trans, Mr. Sanzhar Yelyubayev.
